The SPARK program has truly made a difference for my kids. It opened their minds to research in a way that was simple, engaging, and far beyond what they learned in school. They learned how to think, question, and express their ideas with confidence, and I could see their curiosity grow every day.
Pavit, who once thought research was boring, completely changed after joining the program. With APAR’s guidance, he discovered how interesting research can be. The team used his love for music to motivate him, and soon he was confidently working from Step 1 to publication. His first paper, “Exploring the Perceptions of Students on Music as an Aid or Distractor in Learning,” was a proud moment for him and an even prouder one for me.
My elder daughter, Sehar, an undergraduate at the University of Warwick, also benefitted deeply. With APAR’s support, she turned her curiosity into a meaningful URSS project, from writing the proposal to approval, report writing, and publication. Her study on Impact of Cultural Transitions and Social Stressors on the Long-term Mental Health of Indian Students Pursuing Higher Education abroad became a major milestone in her academic journey.
For first-time researchers, the process is overwhelming, but the continuous support from the APAR Health team made everything possible.
